Botulinum toxin, used in plastic surgery, provides such anti-ageing effects. Botulinum toxin injections relax the underlying muscles, and wrinkles are smoothed out. It is a very effective treatment method as the wrinkles disappear already after 2–4 days. Besides, this procedure is very convenient for a patient because immediately after the procedure it is possible to return to work. Unfortunately, treatment results are not permanent: after 4–5 months, the contraction of the muscles is restored and wrinkles return back, and subsequent injections are required. During the procedure, 6 to 15 injections are done into different areas to be treated. The procedure takes about 20–30 min. It is worth mentioning that botulinum toxin not only allows us to enjoy a rejuvenated appearance, but also is effective in treating excessive sweating.
