 For the correction of deeper wrinkles, injectable hyaluronic acid-based fillers can be used (Restylane®, Teosyal®). These fillers treat nasolabial folds, frown lines, also wrinkles around the lips. In addition, hyaluronic acid-based fillers can be used for lip augmentation or enhancement of lip contour. These fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, the main compound in the skin that preserves moisture. Following injection, filler stimulates collagen production, which fills in facial lines and wrinkles and smoothes away them for 12–18 months. The injection of the fillers is a simple and painless procedure; changes are apparent immediately after therapy, although some swelling can be seen in the treated areas for several days.
